Keeping Your Tub Toys Organized

I'm not the most organized person...in fact I've been told I'm a hoarder.  My husband is constantly advocating for me to throw out all of my (repurposed) items.  However, these items keep me organized and I enjoy the idea of using old plastic containers over paying money at a big box store for new plastic.  Cheap as this may seem, I've found creative ways to make these old items new. Those who know me can attest to the journey it's taken me to transition from the clutter bug to the clutter genie that I am today.   With a bit of creativity and a few household scraps you too can have effective organization that is also appealing to the eye.

You can make a really nifty tub toy container with an old bleach bottle and a bit of coordination.  The best thing about this, is you're helping the environment by reusing an old container and it's recyclable if it breaks.

How To: 

1. Start with a bleach bottle (empty of course). 
   
2. Cut holes in it with an x-acto or box cutter.  Make enough holes so that the water goes through but the toys do not.
   
3. Fill your new container with toys!

Another favorite reusable item is the old onion or orange bag. I turn them into toy sacks.  The bags relatively firm, convenient, can hang and do not hold water or sand.  These are made of plastic so if they break you can recycle them.  I love them because they were a quick and easy obvious option to hold water toys at first.  The only setback is was that these bags can tear easily.  Use them at the beach- they don't mold, they don't hold sand and you won't get mad if you lose them because they came free with your fruit.  (Aside, don't lose them at the beach because you don't want to kill a seagull or fish)
