XMAS TREE XTRAVAGANZA

12/15/2013

We went on an "iPhone Only" adventure today to pick out our Christmas tree.  It was a blast. Originally we were looking for a 3 or 4 foot tree, but ended up with a 5' 11" tree.  The guy at Home Depot was very helpful and super awesome.

We were super fortunate to bump into our neighbor who celebrates Hanukkah/Chanukkah.  It was a great opportunity for the kids to learn about different holidays, cultures, religions and practices.  We believe that it's really important to respect others and to also share love and joy with everyone.

When we got inside we did the following:

  • Tree in the Tree Stand
  • Water the Tree
  • String the Lights
  • Decorate the Tree

Holiday decorating is a great way for families to spend time together; reflect on what they're thankful for and think about the future.  Holidays are great for bonding and creating good memories.  Think about how much you love the people around you this holiday season and give thanks for all the great people in your life.

Happy Holidays!!!

It's really important to provide "organic" experiences by taking your child places that will stimulate their 5 senses.

    Senses:
    • sight
    • smell
    • sound
    • touch
    • taste
