Mom Confession: I'm Stuck

10/9/2017

There are moments in life when I catch myself stuck in place, standing in my kitchen at my sink... staring as my problems float around me like some projected, augmented reality game. I see my debts, the nagging problems I've ignored, fears... to-do lists float along like ribbon tape across my field of vision and I'm stuck...

I'm stuck in my kitchen. I can't move. I can't feel. I can't react. I'm just experiencing all that is my life. All the balls and chains. All the put off promises....

I say to myself, "This is my life. This is all that there is. There's nothing else but this and it may never get better. I need to appreciate this"....

And when I say those things I can feel my problems swell up like balloons and then pop like bubbles. Liquid droplets collect at my feet to become physical once again when I'm stuck staring in my kitchen.
